Terms and Conditions of Entry – Secure Code Warrior Devlympics

1. The Competition “Secure Code Warrior Devlympics” commences on 17th October 2023 at 8:30AM (PDT) and, subject to maximum number restrictions, is open to all developers and application security professionals as determined by Secure Code Warrior. Secure Code Warrior Limited (Secure Code Warrior, SCW) reserves the right in its discretion, to not allow registrants access to the competition.

2. All players must register at https://www.securecodewarrior.com/devlympics. You will be sent a link via the registered email to set up your account in the Secure Code Warrior Learning Platform.

3. Registration opens on July 27th, 2023 and will close on October 17th, 2023.

4. By registering for the Devlympics, the registrant acknowledges that SCW will collect, store, and use the personal information provided for the purpose of the Devlympics 2023 tournament, and where consent has been explicitly provided, SCW may also use this information for marketing purposes with limitations as provided in our privacy policy and share contact information with our Devlympics sponsors for the same.

5. By registering to the Devlympics, you are agreeing to join Secure Code Warrior’s Developer Community. You have the option to opt-out / unsubscribe from the Developer Community at any time after the Devlympics 2023 is over.

6. The Devlympics will commence at 17th October 2023 at 8:30AM (PDT) and will run for 24 hours, that is up to 18 October 2023 at 08:29AM.  

7. Players may participate in one or more of the following tournaments:

8. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 players in each tournament category who attain the highest score during the Devlympics 2023, and as set out below:

9. The Devlympics 2023 Ultimate Warrior will be awarded to the player who earns the most accumulated points across all played tournaments in the Ultimate Warrior Arena, if a tie were to occur, the player with the most points across all tournaments with a lower time spent will be the winner.

10. All winners will be notified via email and will need to claim their prize by providing the necessary information required to facilitate the transfer of the prize, and clothing sizes if applicable. If prizes are not claimed within 14 days of email notification, Secure Code Warrior reserves the right to award the prize to the player with the next best score. 

11. At the end of the Devympics 2023, our winners will be announced on the Secure Code Warrior Twitter (@SecCodeWarrior), LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/company/secure-code-warrior/) and website (www.securecodewarrior.com) feed by name (if they consent on or before 21st October 2023). Winners will also be notified by email.

12. Prizes will be sent to winners as soon as possible, subject to necessary information being sent to Secure Code Warrior. 

13. Employees, as well as immediate family of Secure Code Warrior employees, Secure Code Warrior Partners and their families may participate but are not eligible to win the aforementioned prizes. 

14. Participants are required to verify their own eligibility to receive prizes if entering as part of a company or organization. Prizes forfeited as a result of third-party company policies will be awarded to the next eligible winner in their respective category.

15. Secure Code Warrior reserves the right to offer alternative prizes equivalent to the value of the advertised prize, in the event of availability issues or other unforeseen circumstances.

16. Secure Code Warrior Ltd accepts no liability for loss or damage resulting from the use of these prizes.

17. Secure Code Warrior Ltd reserves the right to change the terms and conditions without notice.
